Holorib
– the original
This re-entrant profile is used as permanent shuttering and tensile reinforcement
for suspended in-situ concrete slabs in new and refurbished buildings.
Supplied in S350 structural grade galvanised steel, Holorib is the UK’s
most widely specified floor decking profile and can be supplied almost
anywhere in the world.
Technical Data
Ribdeck E60 – more
savings: less concrete
The advanced design of Ribdeck E60 brings a new dimension to the efficient
construction of shallow slabs, allowing optimum composite characteristics
to be combined with minimum concrete volume.
Technical Data
Ribdeck 80 –
shallow slabs: longer spans
A profile with all the classic strengths of traditional steel decking, plus
the advantage of shallow floors and 4.5m spans without temporary propping.
Its use means lower overall costs and a potential faster release of capital
investments.
Technical Data
Ribdeck AL – shallow
slabs: efficient designs Practical, effective
and strong, Ribdeck AL is proportioned so that concrete is used effectively
to satisfy the demand for lightweight construction whilst optimising the
amount of concrete in those areas where it is most needed.

The
advantages of steel decking. Details
Steel – still the first choice.
The 2007 update of the Cost Comparison Study
on commercial buildings has recently been completed and initial
results confirm that structural steel frame solutions maintain their
competitive advantage over concrete frames.
The cost analysis partly explains the results of the Market Share
Survey, which showed steel increasing its share in the key market
sectors to record levels. The study proves that the competitive
situation for steel remains virtually unchanged. With an economic
case to match its sustainability virtues the outlook for steel in
a sustainable world looks encouraging.
